BR Reading and Fundraiser at Barnes & Noble Ala Moana
Join Us at Barnes & Noble for a Day of Books & Giving!
Shop in-store at B&N Ala Moana or online during the Bamboo Ridge Press Bookfair on Sunday, October 19, 2025, and a portion of your purchases will help support Hawai‘i’s homegrown literary nonprofit. Stop by the store to hear BR authors read and help raise funds to keep island stories thriving!
Scott Kikkawa will be reading from his third novel, Char Siu set in 1950s Territorial Hawai‘i, featuring Honolulu Police Department’s only Japanese American homicide detective, World War II veteran Francis Hideyuki Yoshikawa.
Donald Carreira Ching will read from his new book Blood Work and Other Stories which explore connection and survival in a place caught between what’s sacred and what’s sold.
READING from 2:00 to 3:00 pm with book signing afterward.
This event is free and open to the public. Please join us at the front of store, seating is limited.
