“Hey Matt, check this out,” my cousin Mitchell said. He threw a firecracker in the air and watched it pop at the peak of its flight.
“Whoa, how’d you do that?” I asked, as I pulled a firecracker from my pocket.
“It’s simple, all you do is light the firecracker, wait until the fuse is almost out, then throw it as high and as fast as possible,” he directed as he launched another into the air. I lightly touched my mosquito punk to the fuse and watched it burnt down.
Crraacck!
“Owww!” I screamed as the firecracker blew up in my hand.
I never played with fireworks again.
