YOU WERE FIGHTING A WAR WITHIN YOURSELF
by Gigi
You’re fighting a war within yourself,
You don’t know where to turn,
Or who to ask,
Can you see the pain behind this smiling mask?
Your heart is windowpane looking out into the world,
Where the volatile wind screams,
And the stormy sky bleeds,
But who is there to help me?
As you fight this battle inside,
You tell yourself it hurts to live,
A waging war between God and me,
Is there a way to set me free?
My warrior heart beats strong,
The windowpane is suddenly clear,
I will reach,
And reach,
And reach for the norm,
I have found it, the eye of the storm.
