peacock mantis shrimp

has hues of green, blue, and red

on it’s shelled body

what a strange creature

it can see eight times as much

colors than humans

undersea nightmare

the mantis shrimp, be on guard

around it’s two limbs

striking faster than

the blink of a human eye

they can break all sorts

using its death clubs

punching fast like a bullet

smashing glass and shells

what a strange creature

striking, smashing, bludgeoning

it’s prey to it’s death

how unexpected

this magnificent creature

is a predator
