In March 2000, Dad, Sis, and I moved into our new home. One spring day, Dad walked in, carrying our three voter registration cards; he had an impulsive idea. On September 23 and then again on November 7, we piled into Dad’s PreRunner and drove down to our polling place, Ho‘ae‘ae Community Park.
Dad, Sis, and I voted in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, and 2014.
In March 2016, Sis and I buried Dad. In October, we had an on-again, off-again talk for five weekends. On Halloween, we took turns sitting with my laptop, requesting from elections.hawaii.gov mail ballots.
