Breakfast at Sack n Save

Ho, hahd go skool in town

when you live Ewa Beach.

‘Specially when get tree different kids

going tree different skools.

Even back den had to leave

supah early in da morning.

Socks, shoes, uniforms

trown on half asleep.

We go Sack n Save by Stadium Mall

bleary eyes squinting at da white tile floor.

Coffee and kulolo fo’ dad,

juice and musubi fo’ us.

Boiled peanuts and papaya to share.

Da breakfast of kings!

Den we moe moe little bit in da car,

five people snoring in sync.

Den drop us off, one, two, tree

barely time fo’ pull ovah and get out.

Next day… start all ovah again.
