On Friday, May 6, the Hawaiʻi Book Publishers' Association will hold their annual Ka Palapala Po`okela Awards Ceremony, honoring Hawaiʻi's best books, authors, and illustrators. Juliet S. Kono is nominated solo and with her sisters in renshi, and both book designs could win awards for Rowen Tabusa:

The Hawaiʻi Book and Music Festival well take place May 14 – 15 on the grounds of Honolulu Hale:
