Besides buying Bamboo Ridge Press books for your Christmas presents for friends and family members here and far away (far away is good, to give them the nostalgic, pining-for-Hawaiʻi moments), I thought of sharing a couple of other books with you: by Junot Diaz "The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao," by Elizabeth Strout, "Olive Kitteridge," by Bill Bryson, (forgot title) a dictionary about science for the science buffs, and "The Iconic House," if you like architecture. Please let me know if you like any of these.
Teachers, a must read is Romano’s "The Authentic Voice." It is timeless. How wonderful if we could teach in this way. (Big Sigh!)
