When the wind whistles atop Lanaihale,
it dances between the pine trees,
and scatters an invisible tune
that flattens the uluhe ferns.
Do you whistle back?

When the ocean surge groans at Hulopoe Bay,
it swells into a blue mountain,
and rolls into a watery crescendo,
that swirls the foamy sand.
Do you shout out loud?

When the setting sun sighs at Keomoku,
it whispers to the murmuring waves,
and sends one last yellow ray,
that blinks a green flash.
Do you give thanks?

Listen to your heart beat,
Listen to your na’au,
Listen to ka ‘aina,
Listen…
